My Story

Kia Ora, Kia Orana, Mālō e lelei, Talofa, and Gidday.

My name is Shawn Tomlin, also known as Hori Humor.
Born and bred in Porirua, New Zealand, lived in Auckland New Zealand for a few years and now living in Sydney, Australia with my partner and our two sons.

Hori Humor started during the Covid lockdowns, a time when we all needed a laugh. What began as a way of cracking jokes, sharing memories, and bringing back the nostalgia of growing up in the late 90s and early 2000s quickly turned into something much bigger.

At its core, Hori Humor is about connection. It’s about the small-town boy who never forgot where he came from, who wanted to create something his kids could one day look back on and feel proud of. It’s about celebrating the culture, the banter, the good times, and reminding us that no matter where we are in the world, we’re still connected through those stories and laughs.

This brand is more than just clothing, it’s a reflection of who I am, where I’m from, and the community that shaped me.

Welcome to Hori Humor.
A little piece of Porirua, now repping out of Sydney, made for everyone who loves to laugh, reminisce, and keep that 90s–2000s spirit alive.
